This is a very clean, fast, efficient restaurant. We can always count on it being quick enough to have lunch between 12 and 1 and have time to talk and get back to work. I love the fact that they offer brown rice in place of the white rice. I had the Kung Pao trio and my friend had the beef and broccoli, both were very, very good and HOT! I like my Chinese and Thai food very hot and I don't think anyplace understands what hot or spicy means. When they say, oh you want 5 (1-5) they look at you like you're crazy then you get it and its still not spicy enough. I mean I like it when sears my tongue! But it was still very good, I'll just have to add some hit to my leftovers :-)

This used to be my favorite Chinese food restaurant and it breaks my heart to write this review. Part of a great Chinese meal is the sauces. Uncle Joes makes their "to go" mustard like yellow water... It's soupy with no real taste at all. I stooped in and asked why and was told, after ordering their food to- go for 7 years without the same problem, that it's the only way they can get it into the little cups. Well, that was and remains a lame excuse... Especially since they only recently started doing that. It's a shame. Until they fix it, I would order from somewhere else if the Chinese mustard is important to you. If not, then everything else is delicious. As to me, I'm done with this place until they start to care about their mustard again!!!!

Best Chinese around! Get delivery mostly, but always fast, hot & delicious! Tastes even better @ their restaurant! Very consistent!

Excellent lunch! We haven't eaten at Uncle Joe's for several months, but have never been disappointed. My shrimp with vegetables was perfect & they added bean sprouts & made it spicy at my request. I also like that they have the option of brown rice. Food came quickly & service was friendly.

Some of the best Chinese in town but pricy for Chinese. I guess I am spoiled by Chinese food in NY where you eat a feast for $20. You won't find some of the Chinese food gems that one can get in China town but you will find the typical staples like sesame chicken, lo mein, etc.

This is the best Chinese take out I've ever had they deliver anywhere In palm beach for an extra five dollar fee which for me is amazing! I became a loyal fan 4years ago and have proceeded to introduce them to all my friends whom have become uncle joe lovers as well. In fours years I've basically eaten and tried the entire menu I have never encountered anything less than delicious. They have by far the best service, quality and tastiness!

Showed up for dinner, and was sat by the hostess. Only 1 other couple on the restaurant. Didn't see another person for 15 minutes, so we left. Will never go back.

I used to love this place but I haven't been back to uncle Joe's in a long time.. Thought I'd give it another try.. Let me just say I've had better!! It was a big disappointment ~ I don't feel that I'll be back again. My order of Vegetable delight was very bland.. And my vegetable fried rice was boring at best..

(Disclaimer: I'm Chinese) Restaurant caters primarily to Chinese-American fare but still very good. I order the Salt & Pepper Shrimp consistently because it's delicious and seasoned perfectly.

I had the food delivered to me but it was the wrong order. all three of my dinners, The restaurant would not deliver me the right food and take the wrong food away they told me I had to come pick it up and they still charge me. They were incredibly rude. I talked to two people that said they were the manager but were not the manager. Never got to try the food ,,but the people that run the restaurant are rude and unprofessional it's a place that I would never order from again

Delicious Hot and Sour Soup. All dishes were good. The brown rice was flavorful and just a little chewy. Yum! The best Chinese food in the area.

The best Chinese takeout/delivery around. Standard menu options. Better quality ingredients than the vast majority of places in this food genre. We got the house special lo mein and pu pu platter tonight. Delivery took about an hour, but it was during the dinner rush on a rainy Saturday night, so it was to be expected. Everything was hot and DELICIOUS. They really don't skimp on anything. Their chicken wings were the best I had.

Okay so you wouldn't normally expect to run across a Chinese restaurant called "Uncle Joes" but I have to tell you, this place is awesome! I'm in Florida temporarily and literally go here once a week, and I'm a stickler for Chinese Food. Best of all, their egg rolls aren't rolled in that nasty, flaky, springroll-type fake wonton stuff, it's the REAL wonton wrapper that bubbles slightly when cooked. Food is great, prices are cheap, staff is friendly and so on. Trust me and try this place, it's right next door to the AT&T store near the corner of Northlake & Military.

Lousiest service ever. We had a party of 7 on Christmas day, they rushed us out of there in 45 minutes. The place was so noisy we could not hear ourselves talk. We were seated by the cashier and people were standing right by our table waiting for their take out orders. I will never again patronize this restaurant :-( Forgot to mention they their prices are way out of sight

The best Chinese we've found (along with Mr. Zhang's, which apparently shares the same owner). Their General Tao's Chicken is perfect - fabulous flavor. It's pretty much the standard by which we judge all other Chinese restaurants. Other favorites include: Sizzling Mongolian Beef, Crispy Sesame Chicken, Beef and Broccoli, and Vegetable Lo Mein. And of course we love their Crab Ragoons. If you want to find your new favorite Chinese food, check out Uncle Joe's!

Authentic and consistent. We've been enjoying Uncle Joe's for years. The Peking Duck and House Chow Fun are among our favorites. Portions are flavorful, generous and consistent. Take out is fast and the prices are reasonable. Always a good experience.

I have long been a customer of Uncle Joe, For 7 years I have been getting take our and delivery consistently. Today I had food delivered to my office, The quality of the dish was bellow standards. I ordered Curry Tofu with brown rice, this is the second time I have ordered the dish, the Tofu is very fermented it tastes old and dry. It was so gross I couldn't even swallow it. When I had called the restaurant to ask if they would send me out another dish they told me NO. That the tofu was fine and its my issue. They said the tofu was fine and that if I didn't like it they didn't care because they didn't make any mistakes. I cannot believe how rude they were to me. Seeing that I order from them 2-3 times a month I would have thought that a little bit of loyalty would have been in order. In 7 years this is only the second time I have complained about food quality. Not only was the quality of food very poor the manager "Katie" was not helpful in any manner. I'm really disappointed, I asked the manager if she would be willing to loose a loyal client over this and her response was yep! So BYE BYE UNCLE JOE! I cannot believe how they handled this situation. PEOPLE DONT EVEN CARE IF YOU LIKE YOUR FOOD OR NOT HERE!!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY FOR OVER PRICED FOOD AND BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

With HIGH NY Chinese Food expectations, I reluctantly tried Uncle Joe's. The General Gau's was bland and had too much breading. The moo shi was loaded with greasy cabbage, the beef was rubbery and the ORANGE colored fried rice and neon duck sauce (That could land aircraft at PBI Airport) were the final straw. There are LOTS of Northern Snow Birds craving decent Madarin, Schezuan, Poly Chinese food. You'd think someone (other than a Mall Chain) would make it ha ppen. Disappointing, haven't gone back since...

Uncle Joe's is great. You can be sure you're going to get high quality Chinese food and more than your money's worth. I have eaten in a few times, but I typically do take-out. My favorite dish is the Crispy Beijing Chicken. It is lightly fried in a sweet, slightly hot, gingery sauce. Delicious. I also enjoy the Lemon Chicken and that old take-out standby, the Sweet and Sour Chicken combo. Rest assured that you'll probably have enough food for two meals. As a bonus, the Crispy Beijing Chicken is one of the only meals I've ever eaten where it tastes BETTER reheated the next day. 5/5 stars, Uncle Joe's is the best Chinese food in the area.

OMG I love this place. So nice to have a sit down Chinese restaurant. Service can be fast though, sometimes too fast. I always get pork egg foo yung. Love it and the egg drop soup. Also the crispy fried wontons when you first sit down. Beware of the stale fortune cookies.

This is my favorite Chinese place in the area. I always get the pan-fried dumplings and the house special Lo Mein. The food is comparable to what I used to get from Chinatown in NYC. I can call ahead and my food is usually ready to pick up in 15-20 minutes. It's good, fast and reasonably priced.

The best Chinese food. The take out is lightning fast, hot, and delicious. As good as it gets without going to Seattle or New York.
My husband always says you can't trust online reviews and after this place I'm beginning to believe him. I truly love food and could even be categorized as a foodie. So I believe have a good sense of what tastes good and what's caca. This place is caca. It was really the worst Chinese food I've ever ate. I feel sorry for anyone who thinks this is good. They must have grown up here and never experienced excellent Chinese. I wanted so badly to like this place. It's impossible to find decent Chinese food in the area, well pretty much in the state. I called in to place an order for delivery. They quoted me 30 minutes but got to my home in about 20 minutes. I thought great, but this later proves to be part of their downfall. I opened my sons Pork Lo Mien and tried a noodle as I was dishing it up. It had hardly any flavor to it. So I stirred it up thinking all the sauce was on the bottom and tried another with equal disappointment. Not a good start to our meal but I still had hope for the rest. I ordered a side of steamed veggies to add to my Moo Shu since most places only put in 2 or so pieces of broccoli. The steamed veggies were under cooked. Better then mushy but still how hard is it to steam some veggies. The shred of hope I had was dwindling. On to my Moo Shu........Holy hell I'm not exaggerating when I tell you this was the worst I've ever had. I added every sauce that came with the food and still couldn't eat it. It was basically overly large chopped cabbage in a watery brown sauce. Everything was very bland. Everything seemed to be prepared too quick which left it flavorless. I ordered extra Fortune cookies because our family fights over them. Since I didn't eat hardly any dinner I figured at least I can fill up on some Fortune cookies. But nooooo even these were inedible because they were stale. I won't give this place another chance

This is one of my favorite delivery places in the area. I always get the grand marnier shrimp. It is pricey, but is defiantly the best thing on the menu.
(4)

They need to go back to New York because they obviously left the FLAVOR over there... Yukers, it was sooooooo bland. This should not be considered chinese food.
(1)
Meredith R.
Service was excellent, food portions were huge ( 2 people could share) & the prices were good. The food wasn't bad but didn't knock mine or my husbands socks off. To us a little on the bland side. 50/50 if we would return, but I have friends that rave about the place, to be fair.
(3)
Jamie C.
Take out wasn't good at all. But the dinner items on the menu are good. Being from NY, I can't find a good Chinese spot. This place is good. The chopped whole chicken with salt is awesome and the shrimp with walnut sauce is great. The string beans are really good too.
(4)
Emily P.
Very good. Had general's tao chicken. Real white meat. Good egg rolls.

A friend introduced me to uncle Joe's a couple years ago. It's pretty consistent in terms of quality and the price is right for what it is. They're pretty typical in terms of menu - szechuan sauce, kung pao, garlic, pepper steak, etc. The wonton soup is pretty good, and I would like their fried rice more if it didn't have bean sprouts in it. The staff can be a little hit or miss, but overall it's an OK place, especially if you're doing take out.

Nice neighborhood Chinese fix, not pricey and owned by 3 brothers moved from NYC, good duck + roasted chicken + BBQ spare ribs + hot n sour soup

Pretty good chinese take-out. They use white meat and I really like chinese places that do. I'm not typically a fan of egg rolls at all, however Joe's egg rolls ROCK!

The best take-out/delivery Chinese food in the area. Believe me when I say this. They once messed up my order and I was extremely dissatisfied. We order delivery from them once a week and I banned my family from going there. For several weeks we tried delivery from other Chinese restaurants in our area. The quality was not the same. We went back to Uncle Joe's with our head down. Beef and broccoli has fresh perfectly cooked broccoli. Sesame chicken is crispy never soggy. Large egg rolls with ample stuffing. Delicious fried rice. Mix soup is perfect. General Tso is crispy but a bit over sauced for my taste. They use huge chunks of chicken. Steamed dumplings are doughy. Getting them fried will alleviate the gummy texture. Boneless ribs have great flavor but tends to be oily. Those are our standard orders. We've dined in a few times and the food is even better. They deliver fast. At times within 10 minutes and food is freshly made and piping hot. Be aware there are busier delivery nights. We found Thursday nights seem to be busiest.

This is a real old style Chinese restaurant we've had lunch a number of times. Just an traditional interior without offering Asian fusion, Sushi or whatever is the newest fad. There is nothing fancy here unless it's hidden on their dinner menu. We started with an order of ribs that were dark and crispy but not very meaty. Excellent Hot & Sour soup that is flavorful, dark and thick. Egg rolls that are packed with tasty ingredients and perfectly fried. I had calamari in black bean sauce served with chunks of red and green pepper (allowed to cook a bit so they were tender) and the calamari scored and cooked until it was it had just the right bite. Covered in flavorful salty black bean sauce, which is one of my favorites. My companion had shrimp in lobster sauce served Boston style. The addition of black beans turns that traditional light white sauce to a dark color and that special salty black bean flavor. Served with a nice portion of shrimp. The fried rice here is surprisingly nothing special, just kind of regular rice darkened with some Chinese cooking magic but without tasty bits of pork, or egg just some lonely peas. They do have a knock your socks off Egg Foo Young and Lo Mein that I've had on a couple occasions. I think there are more positives here and enjoy the simple traditional style. The lunch special at about $8.00 is served quickly and almost more that you can eat.

Had my usual shrimp with garlic sauce and a side of ribs. The shrimp was good but not excellent. The ribs were regular Chinese ribs. Nothing social. The rib sauce was above average.

I've even experienced better here before! I got the General Tao's for lunch, it came with Fried rice and an Egg Roll. The Chicken itself was a little too breaded/fried for my liking. I think the key to good GT's is a mix of high quality chicken and just the right amount of frying in a good sauce. I thought the sauce here was pretty good, flavorful, sticky, not watered down, and not too sticky. However, the chicken was, as I said above, too well fried/breaded. The rice that it came with a tad under seasoned, not enough to create any real taste issue, but I could have made just as good fried rice at home. Maybe if they made it Chicken or Pork or Beef fried rice there would have been more complexity to the rice. The egg roll was pretty standard. I've been here before and I will go again, though it probably won't be for the General Tao's. Oh, prices are really good!

Great food and fast delivery. The sweet and sour chicken is nice and crisp. The Lo mein was the best.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

I highly suggest NOT to order take out from here. We ordered take out late Saturday night and when we got it home (we only live 2 min away) the chicken was like shoe leather. Very hard to eat. Couldn't even cut it with a fork and knife. The lo main was dried out as well. It was to late too call or take back so we called the next day on Sunday. We were told that we should've bought it back that same night even though it was late. Who wants to drive back out that late at night because of their error? My fiancé decided to take back what we had left on Sunday and showed them. We were floored that they would even make us do this! They continued to disagree and would not help. They even looked up our phone# and can see we have never complained before. This is a hit or miss place for Chinese. Lousiest service EVER. The owners don't really care if you return or not. Just like to debate, instead of trying to make a customer happy.

But nooooo even these were inedible because they were stale. I won't give this place another chance

This is one of my favorite delivery places in the area. I always get the grand marnier shrimp. It is pricey, but is defiantly the best thing on the menu.

They need to go back to New York because they obviously left the FLAVOR over there... Yukers, it was sooooooo bland. This should not be considered chinese food.

Service was excellent, food portions were huge ( 2 people could share) & the prices were good. The food wasn't bad but didn't knock mine or my husbands socks off. To us a little on the bland side. 50/50 if we would return, but I have friends that rave about the place, to be fair.

Take out wasn't good at all. But the dinner items on the menu are good. Being from NY, I can't find a good Chinese spot. This place is good. The chopped whole chicken with salt is awesome and the shrimp with walnut sauce is great. The string beans are really good too.

Solid. Fresh and good. I am originally from NY so while it's not NYC Chinese it's still good.

Quaint little place with great food and personable service. Perfect for take our and delivery, but if you need a nice little place to sit down and get some solid Chinese - GO TOJ OE'S!

Great food and fast delivery. The sweet and sour chicken is nice and crisp. The Lo mein was the best.
